The Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at Iowa State University offers a training program for multicultural freshman scholars beginning in fall 2009. The objective of this USDA program is to encourage outstanding students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the food and agricultural sciences to pursue and complete baccalaureate degrees in these disciplines.
The emphasis of our program in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department is to train technologists and engineers for employment in the biofuels industry.
Thanks to many generous supporters of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, nearly $60,000 in departmental scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Agricultural Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, and Industrial Technology.
Several scholarships may be awarded based on need. You need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form either over the web or through the ISU Office of Student Financial Aid.
