The ISU Power Pullers got fourth in the International Quarter-Scale Tractor Student Design Competition, sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The team received an individual award for serviceability, given for demonstrating outstanding effort in one of the design subcategories.
The University of Illinois won the contest. Each student team designed, built and demonstrated a utility or recreational pulling tractor. A panel of industry experts judged each for innovation, maneuverability, sound level, serviceability, ergonomics, safety and manufacturability, and teams then demonstrated performance in a multi-stage tractor pull.
Congratulations, Cyclones!
