Andy Heggenstaller received the first annual George Washington Carver Scholarship Prize for Outstanding Student Achievement in Biorenewables in the ISU Biorenewable Resources and Technology graduate program. Andy's co-advisors are Dr. Robert Anex and Dr. Matt Liebman of Agronomy.

The award recognizes the research contributions of a student in the ISU Biorenewable Resources and Technologies graduate program. By honoring a student who has made notable achievements in biorenewables, this award serves as a lasting memorial to the original vision of George Washington Carver who, over a century ago, pioneered the creation and commercialization of sustainable biobased products from renewable agricultural feedstocks.

Congratulations, Andy!
