
You earn a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Technology from the College of Agriculture, specializing in one of two areas.
Manufacturing
This option prepares graduates to plan and coordinate materials, machines, methods, and human resources in a manufacturing environment. You'll get a firm foundation in such topics as manufacturing processes and total quality management.
Occupational Safety
This prepares graduates to develop, coordinate, and evaluate safety issues relating to people, materials, equipment, methods, and environments. Their goals are to achieve optimum safety effectiveness.
Mandatory internships or co-op experiences help students translate their classroom and laboratory experiences into the reality of industrial and business settings.
Industrial Technology is a field of study designed to prepare technical and/or management oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, education, and government. Industrial Technology is primarily involved with the management, operation, and maintenance of complex technological systems.
