CNMP Core Curriculum

The land grant universities from Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee worked cooperatively with NRCS to develop a core CNMP educational curriculum and supporting course materials. This curriculum was developed by building on the experience and strengths of each existing state course. The inclusion of NRCS personnel at both the state and national level ensured that the training curriculum and materials developed provide the necessary skill sets to satisfy the NRCS TSP certification standards. Training modules were developed to support the core CNMP curriculum and pilot-tested by each cooperating state, and provided to any other group that would like to pilot-test the material. This final product is a core CNMP training curriculum that includes instructor-ready training materials. This curriculum and associated educational course materials are made available in an electronic format to Land Grant Universities, state NRCS contacts and any other group that would like to use them. This project was funded by a grant from USDA/CSREES through the Water Quality Extension Education Program (Agreement No. 2003-51130-02318).
