Gretchen’s work experience includes 7 years working for the ISU Meat Laboratory, conducting sensory evaluation panels on meats, meat products, and other food products for graduate students in meat science, campus clients, and off campus clients. In addition, she worked for 3 years as a lecturer in the College of Human Sciences, where she was responsible for advising of undergraduate students, recruitment and outreach, teacher education, committee service, and teaching courses.

The dissertation topic is still tentative but will involve analysis and communication of benefits of a verifiable and traceable bulk product supply chain. Outcomes of this project will include the preparation of extension, outreach, and distance education materials.
