Steve is a graduate student finishing a Ph.D. in Industrial Technology with major area in safety. His research is an examination of the relationship between socioeconomic factors and the incidence of residential structure fires and will explore what psychological profiles may be involved in the affected population. Steve has been working with Dr. Steven Freeman in this endeavor. Steve is a part time student and works full time with Wandling Engineering in Ames. He has been working in the field of safety for 30 years and primarily investigating fires for 20 years.
