Thanks to supporters of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, over $125,000 in scholarships are awarded annually to students enrolled in Agricultural Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, and Industrial Technology.

Several scholarships may be awarded based on need. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form online or through the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Deadline: Same as the College of Engineering.

Depending on your major, you can be considered for different scholarships through the College of Engineering as a transfer student. Review all the information regarding scholarships for transfer students for further details.

Note that the application deadline this year is 4:00 PM on February 1st. To avoid last minute problems review the on-line application tip-sheet and sample application form posted on the COE scholarship webpage, and apply well in advance of the deadline.

Scholarships are available for all Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering undergraduate and graduate students who are or will be participating in study abroad experiences including student exchange programs, study abroad travel courses, and international professional development.

Iowa Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Council Scholarship (for ITec Occupational Safety students; and students pursuing the Safety Certificate and declaring an interest in safety/health as a career)

Safety student that has an interest in a career in construction, highway, industrial or agricultural safety and health and display need and/or academic excellence. Students are interviewed by members of the Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Advisory Council.
