To obtain an undergraduate minor in Agricultural Systems Technology (AST), you must complete a minimum of 15 credits of TSM (Technology Systems Management) classes that must include:

  • TSM 2100 (3 credits) F.S. Fundamentals of Technology
  • At least nine (9) additional credits from:

    • TSM 3220 & 3220L (3 credits) S. Preservation of Grain Quality
    • TSM 3240 (3 credits) S. Soil and Water Conservation Management
    • TSM 3250 (3 credits) F. Biorenewable Systems
    • TSM 3270 (3 credits) F. Animal Production Systems
    • TSM 3300 (3 credits) S. Agricultural Machinery and Power
    • TSM 3350 (4 credits) F. Tractor Power
    • TSM 3370 (3 credits) F.S. Fluid Power Systems Technology
    • TSM 3630 (4 credits) F.S. Electric Power and Electronics for Agriculture and Industry
    • TSM 3650 (3 Credits) F.S Electrical Controls and Sensor Systems
    • TSM 3700 (3 Credits) F.S. Occupation Safety
    • TSM 3710 (2 Credits) S. Occupational Safety Management
    • TSM 3720 (2 Credits) F. Legal Aspects of Occupational Safety and Health
    • TSM 3760 (3 Credits) F. Fire Protection and Prevention
    • TSM 3930 (3 credits) F. Agricultural Safety and Health
    • TSM 4330 (3 credits) F. Precision Farming Systems
    • TSM 4550 (3 Credits) F. Feed Processing and Technology
    • TSM 4570 (3 Credits) S. Feed Safety, Ingredient Quality and Analytics
    • TSM 4650 (3 Credits) F.S. Automation Systems
    • TSM 4700 (3 Credits) S. Industrial Hygiene: Physical, Chemical, and Biological Hazards
    • TSM 4710 (1 Credits) S. Safety Laboratory
    • TSM 4770 (3 Credits) F. Risk Analysis and Management
  • At least six (6) credits of 300-level or higher TSM classes (from the classes listed above)
  • At least nine (9) credits that are not used to meet any other department, college, or university requirement.
